Blog :: Baypiggies Again

Just got back from the Bay Area Python Interest Group meeting at Google. The presenter tonight was from SnapLogic and went over their open source data transformation application. Sounded mostly outside my problem domain but the presentation was interesting...

I also got to harass JJ Behrens about his xpath macros for Python idea. Even as just a new way of handling monkey-patching, this is interesting. As a full on recursive macro expansion facility for Python... Interesting!

I'm still open to taking anybody interested in Python or programming in general to Baypiggies. It's the second Thursday of each month - email me if you're interested. Did I mention Google provided free Ben 'n Jerry's tonight?
